Domain Names

For Uggle Internet hosting account holders, domain names can be registered directly through the HELM control panel. Domain name registration is available for hosting account holders only.

Can I use an existing registered domain with my new hosting account?

If you have a domain name that has already been registered, you can use this domain name with your Uggle Internet hosting account. You do not have to transfer the control of the name to us, however you will need to update your domain name DNS settings (details supplied upon new account registration or on request).

NOTE: You will still be responsible for any re-registration fees associated with your domain name, which will be payable to your current domain registrar.

Can I transfer an existing domain name to Uggle Internet?

Existing domain names can be transferred to Uggle internet if they have been registered for more than 60 days and there is more than 60 days remaining before renewal. In order to transfer your domain name, you will need to either unlock the domain name and supply a transfer key (contact your current registrar to arrange for this), or for uk domain names, you will need to update the IPS TAG (contact us for further details).

Do I need to register a domain name?

NO. If you do not wish to register a domain name, we can supply you with your own address e.g. mywebsite.uggle.co.uk, mywebsite.aspnethost.co.uk etc. There is no fee for this.
